Prestigious honor created by Lowell Milken singles out Bryan ISD school for exceptional implementation of TAP system
Los Angeles, CA—Lowell Milken, founder of TAP: The System for Teacher and Student Advancement, surprised Ben Milam Elementary School in the Bryan Independent School District with the prestigious TAP Founder's Award—which includes a $50,000 prize—before 1,500 educators and policy leaders attending opening night of the 11th National TAP Conference: Changing the Landscape for Educator Support and Evaluation.
Surprise TAP Recognition Awards Presented for Commitment to Reform System

TAP Award of Distinction, TAP School of Promise Award and TAP Ambassador Award presented to five schools & three state education departments
Los Angeles, CA—Three surprise TAP Recognition Awards were presented to honor schools and organizations for their dedication and commitment to TAP: The System for Teacher and Student Advancement. The TAP Award of Distinction honors an organization. The TAP School of Promise Award and the TAP Ambassador Award both honor schools and come with financial prizes of $5,000 each. The Awards were presented before 1,500 educators and policy leaders attending a special Saturday luncheon at the 11th National TAP Conference: Changing the Landscape for Educator Support and Evaluation.
