Strategies Database

Welcome to the NIET Strategies Database. The Strategies Database is a resource filled with strategies submitted by master teachers, mentor teachers and administrators from TAP schools around the country. We invite you to browse the database for ideas and to submit the strategies that you have found successful at raising student achievement from your own practice. The database is accessible to teachers in TAP schools. Please obtain the password from your principal.

This tool was made possible through a grant from the Joyce Foundation.

TAP System Training Portal: Strategies Library

The TAP System Training Portal provides a web-based delivery vehicle of interactive, individual TAP trainings and support. The portal is designed to provide tiered (based on role) access to users and contains the most updated training for TAP leaders to download, review and deliver to teachers in order to improve instruction. State/district directors and their teams have access with the ability to create users at the building level (administrators, master teachers and mentor teachers) who then can create individual accounts for the career teachers. These trainings include the presentation and relevant video segments for initial TAP implementation (TAP CORE Trainings) along with other secondary trainings delivered at National TAP Conferences, TAP Summer Institutes or created by NIET for specific projects. Most importantly, real-time access to information linked to TAP models of instructional growth will be available to all schools implementing the TAP system.

In addition to all of the trainings and resources, the TAP System Training Portal also contains a Strategies Library. The TAP Strategies Library contained in the TAP System Training Portal is a collection of over 120 strategies designed to improve specific learner-centered and teacher-centered skills. We know you're busy and short on time. To this end we've made it easy to access the strategies most applicable to you. Browse student-centered strategies by subject area, teacher-centered strategies by rubric indicator, or search all strategies by key words such as "grade level."

To get started, login to the TAP System Training Portal.
