Teacher Incentive Fund
The U.S. Department of Education's proposed regulations for the Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF) were released in early March 2010. The Teacher Incentive Fund annually provides funding for school districts and states to develop and implement performance-based compensation systems that provide differential pay, based partly on student achievement growth, to teachers and principals in some of America's highest-need schools.
